Soo this is my first post.. Chello to all!

Been reading a crap load of random posts expanding this Beardie knowledge to spread to the youth!

Anyways..

I got my Beardie (Enzo) about two months ago now. Love the little dude and I have become quite the reptile lover. I started feeding him a nice mixed salad (Kale, Mustard Greens, Basil, and a few mint leaves) with worms galore. He LOVES his crunchy-ass superworms. I tried crickets for the first time last week and I was so excited to see his energetic response. But after the lot of them were gone with a few roaming around, I guess he seemed confused as to where they were in the tank because he was looking out the glass of the tank trying to move forward with nowhere to go, when in reality the cricket is chilling behind him. LOL it was kind of funny and still is but is there a way to avoid this? He has done it every time I fed him crickets; only when there are a few left though. I don't think this is super pressing or anything. But if I can get lil homie to stop banging his head on the glass, that'd be dope too.

I suggest feeding the crickets (dusted in calcium powder) in small batches of maybe 5 or so at a time. Just keep offering another batch for 10 minutes or until he loses interest. Remove any remaining crickets from the tank. Small batches makes it easier for both of you to track. You don't want to leave crickets in the tank after meal time because they bite.

As far as the glass banging goes, he probably wants out for some reason or another. They don't always understand glass / clear barriers. He may want to get out to poop (they don't tend to like pooping in their habitat) so maybe bring him to an area that is easy to clean or put him in a shallow warm water bath which may help him poop. He may also just want time to run around a bit so if you can put him in a safe area and supervise him, let him explore a bit and burn off some energy and see if that helps.
