Hey all! It's been awhile since I posted, but everything has been going great with Markuu until now. The issue I'm having atm, is that he hasn't pooped in a few days. The weather we've had has raised his temps considerably, so I'm swapping out the basking bulb for a lower wattage one, but is it possible that it's "too hot" for him to digest? I'm hoping that's all it is! Also, how dangerous are stink bugs to them? Im buying some screen mesh for the vent holes, but until then, I've been keeping an eye on any that happen to get into the cage, but Its hard to monitor while I'm at work -_- lol.

I had the same problem with the temps in my tank shooting up with the weather change. I have my basking lamp on an adjustable stand so I just raised it up about 5 inches and it brought temps back to normal. As long as your cool side stayed reasonable and there was still a gradient, he should be able to move around to compensate for the increased temps. Is he still eating normally?

I'm not certain about stink bugs but I definitely wouldn't trust them. The screen is a good idea. I'd also keep some activated charcoal on hand just in case one gets eaten.

He's been eating a lot more greens than usual, but I'm ok with that because hes still energetic and very alert. But with his temps, it's not so much the basking spot, it's hit cool side and general temp of the cage. It's staying in the high 80's, sometimes, on hotter days, high 90s. And the humidity has risen to 45%. I placed a fan in the room where his cage is, hoping that'll help.

I've got two computer fans exhausting air from the cool side to keep it cool enough. They are pretty cheep and quiet. Got it on amazon with a uvb adapter plug and everything.

Just a quick question folks. Markuu hasn't been eating all that great the past couple days. He's been eating more of his greens, but doesn't seem interested in his roaches or supers. My common sense is telling me it's because his cage is just too hot, but just for reassurance can someone ease my mind about this? lol. We finally installed the AC in the house yesterday, so that should most definitely help with his temps. I also had to drop from a 65 watt to a 50 watt for his basking. I didn't realize the seasonal change can make that much of a difference lol. Thanks a ton for any input, you guys are awesome!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
