My bearded dragon cage is down below, and I use a reptisun 10.0 and an exoterra heat glow infrared heat lamp 100watt. during the day from 6 in the morning to 9 at night. At night I take the exo terra bulb out and put in a CHE 60 watts at night , turn off uvb lamp and the tank gets to about 80 degrees at night , I heard the light can be bad is it bad during day , I've heard many things and need to know what's best for my beardie

During the day, the goal is to simulate natural sunlight. The best way to do this is by using a bright white light that produces heat and a suitable UVB source so they combine over the basking area to make an intense artificial sunlight. The red light can make things look odd to them as it would to us. Using a PAR 38 halogen flood light for basking works really well for me. They can be dimmed as well so the temps can be adjusted and fine tuned easily.

At night, you may not need the CHE unless the house gets really cold. I use one seasonally during the winter but only to bump the temps up to between about 70-73. A cool off at night is normal for them so you don't need to add any heat as long as it stays above about 65 or so.

The red basking globe is not appropriate for bearded dragons . Replace it with either
>> a MERCURY VAPOUR GLOBE or
>> a domestic clear colorless incandescent par38 spot globe or
>> a domestic colorless par38 halogen globe

FOR DAYTIME ONLY.

My male Beardie is about 9 months old. Recently he just wants to sleep all day. I woke him yesterday & he ate a few mealworms. He has lost interest in hunting crickets. I just woke him again, today for a bath. He took a poop & is awake while I'm holding him. Could this be early Brumation???

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
