Red Dandelion?

I just ran over to Safeway to get Orion's collards and dandelions. They only had red dandelions (which I've never seen before). A quick Google search in the produce section didn't turn up much in the way of information.

Is there any reason I can't give him the red dandelions I bought him? I was able to get his collards, so he won't be totally without if I can't give him these. Collards and dandelions with a butternut squash "salad dressing" (baby food) are his staple veggies.

Greens definitely aren't a problem with this guy. Bugs are a problem with this guy. But, it was so difficult to get him eating salad that I hate to take it away from him. He has lost weight (he's 300 grams at 18.5" long), so I've resorted to sneaking chicken baby food and vitamins into his salad mixed in with his butternut squash.

He's rejecting horn worms, and Phoenix worms, and has gotten picky about crickets. I'm picking him up some wax worms and some mini supers on the way home from work today. I swear, he was put on this Earth to make me insane: just like my two human sons.

He sure loves his greens, though.
