Rearing Tub or 40B for new baby?

I got a brand spanking new baby 3 days ago. She is currently housed in Kevin's old 40g breeder tank (36x18x14). The day we got her, I didn't attempt to feed her because it was later in the day but the next morning she happily hunt down about 7 small ceickets and munched on a bit of greens. Since then, she's ate NOTHING. I know this is likely due to relocation stress but seeing as Kevin came home a bit older and ate like a little piggy, I really don't know what to expect. She stays around the same spot on her basking log all day & just looks genuinely tired. However if I move her she will run around quite a bit then jump back up there.

I've noticed that if I sit her back down on the warm side, she hangs out for a minute licking around. If I sit her all the way over on the cool side, she darts like a maniac over to the warm side. So I'm thinking maybe the tank is too big right now and freaking her out? Thanks to pet store misinformation, Kevin started out in a 10g kit tank so possibly that's why we never went through relocation stress?

My question is, should I set her up in a rearing tub for the time being? Or would it do more harm than good to be changing her world around again? Kevin is currently in a rearing tub even tho he's a bit big thanks to injury and healing and I honestly love having a "mobile home" for him. It'd be very fun for me to have them both in one lol! I have everything I need to set it up. I just don't want to keep scaring her to death.

She's still a little hatchlings at 7weeks & approx. 7in. I haven't attempted to weigh her yet.

She's probably a bit stressed and overwhelmed , likely never been alone.

You could partition the tank she's in to reduce the floor space by 1/3 maybe, she'll find it easier to keep track of her live food. But I think she'll soon settle in and be fine as is.

My gang start off in 100L rearing tubs and eventually upgrade to full 4ft x 2ft x 2ft forever homes.

I think she'll settle in soon too. If she has some things to climb on and some spaces to hide in to feel more secure she should be OK.

Thanks for the replies guys. I had black plasterboard covering 3 sides of the tank but it was taped to the outside, so she could still see her reflection. She was glass surfing a lot and headbutting the glass a little so I moved it to the inside. Now she just looks sad & lonely lol.

I swear, itty bitty babies are so different from juveniles. I'm not sure what's ok & what's not lol!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
