ok i have not been on here much, spent a lot of time when i first got my babys but there about grown now. (i have always had one that got bigger much faster than the other.) well the bigger one, Rex, has had some not so good looking poo's. up till about a week ago or so, he went in the am after eating some veggies, and then again late after noon after eatting crickets. he is still growing so he is eating about 15-20 med-larg crickets 2x a day. well lately he will have his first poo in the am still but its not good at all, it looks like wet coffie grounds in a lot of water, i mean really wet. i also noticed a decrease in his apatiet, he still eats, just not as well, and he no longer has a 2nd poo. other than that he seems fine, still hangs out with my wife on the couch at night, when he sees his crickets he goes nuts like befor. im just worryed that there could be something that can get bad over time. Liz, our smaller baby is fine still, she eats the same, poos the same, no change. they now live in a life cage i built for them about 2 months ago, its really big, has lots and lots of room, with big rocks, and logs we got from the pet store. all rocks were boiled for 20 min, befor being put in the cage. i feed them there crickets in a smaller 20 gal tank. there cage is about 100* on there basking spot, the air temp is about 90, and there cool side is around 75-80. they sleep in little wash cloth blankets now, and seem very active in there cage. if there is anyone that knows kinda what im saying here please help, im sorry for miss spelled words in this post. thanks

It's normal for the frequency of defecation to decrease as a beardie matures, but excessively wet stool is not normal. What are his eating habits as far as veggies and fruits go? What kinds of greens do you feed, and how much of them does he eat? Excessive moisture or not enough nutritious value in the diet can lead to runny stool, so that's one possibility. It's also possible he has coccidia or an internal parasite. If the abnormal stool continues for more than 4-5 days, you should definitely have a vet perform a fecal exam to check for the presence of either of these or other problems.

he eats lots of greens in the morning, also he loves other veggies, for the last few days it seems as though his stools have been much less wet, id even say they are back to normal today. thanks for the response though, and i will be keeping a close eye on it as the days continue. thanks again.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
