Hi everybody!

I have a female bearded dragon who is turning one years old tomorrow and I think she might have infertile eggs? Her belly's been pretty hard lately and I just saw her scratching aggressively and repeatedly at the glass. I thought she was too young for eggs so I'm kind of confused... :?
Any help would be appreciated:)

Hi there, she is young but it's not uncommon for them to lay eggs at that age. The faster growing dragons especially. Still, it could be something else causing her restlessness. Can you post pics of her entire set up + list the type of lights you have . Pics of her as well...here's how :

https://www.beardeddragon.org/useruploads/ Then use the XIMG to upload them

You should also make a laybox ASAP, you can use a plastic container like I have here in this pic. Put a hole in the top like this or in the side. The laybox should be almost full with damp sand or a sand/soil mix.

The box is about 22" L, 12"W, 8" H

Well that’s kind of weird, because she’s definetly small for her age (240 grams and a little longer than 16 inches). I use Reptisun 10.0 t5 for uvb and a 75 Watt basking bulb that maintains a basking temp of about 98-104 degrees Fahrenheit, with a temperature gun. She’s also been in a sluggish, brumation type period for over a month! And she’s constantly digging as well as glass surfing in and out of her cage (she mostly uses doors and I always thought she was stressed out and I would put her back in her enclosure). I’m planning to fix her a laybox very soon once I buy some sand, does it matter what type of sand I use (like playground sand)?

Yes, playsand is the right type. And although they can lay eggs at that size [ and she looks very healthy BTW ] it is very possibly something else. Many young dragons simply go through periods of being very restless. It may have something to do with the lay out of the tank....she really has just one area with a high temp. + bright lighting. The bottom portion of the tank has much less light + heat, so that's one possibility.

How close is the Reptisun t5 ? If t's really close it may be bothering her to a degree.

The closest she can get to the uvb is about 6-7 inches using her rope hammock. Should I lower it?

I really don't like hammocks so I'd get rid of it [ beardies can snag claws + sprain legs in them ] or else yes, def. lower it so it acts as part of the ramp leading to the upper basking areas. A two level beardie enclosure is always much more difficult to have real temp. + light gradients in. Beardies do best in a large tank that is not quite as tall, with many objects for climbing and has a more uniform brightness throughout the tank rather than having a couple of platforms that are too close to the uvb but a lower level that has areas that are too dim.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
