Re-training my dragon

Hello,

I've had jake for about 3 months (he's 5 months old), and i've been feeding him in his tank.... Due to recent discoveries of crickets living in the basking rock and under the cage carpet, i want to start feeding him in a seperate tank. I've already tried to this this a couple of times and he just doesn't eat... He will just sit there and stare straight up. Regardless of if i stay in the room or not, he wont touch them. Any ideas on how i can make this work???

What I've found with my girls and a separate tank is that you need to heat the tank up with a basking bulb/clamp holder before you put your beardie in the tank. This is because the tank is so cold that they don't want to eat because their bellies get cold.

what i did was velcro the carpet to the bottom and make sure the carpet is cut to size to make sure there is little gap as possible. also what my girlfriend did was take the decorations out during feeding, but i never did that cause its a pain, but i did check to make sure there wasnt any hiders

yeah i took care of that problem quick lol.... threw out the ornament and bought a new one with no holes... As far as the cage carpet i cleaned it and layed it in the tank and then put 3 big tiles over it to completely cover it (left the carpet in so the bottom glass doesnt get scratched or anything). Also today i had my first success feeding him outside the tank. I put him in a basket thingy after i warmed it up with the heat lamp and then put the crickets in too. He just sat there for a while but eventully he ate them all... The only problem i see happening is that i wont have time to wait for him to eat on weekdays when i have classes in the morning... hopefully he'll get the idea lol

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
