We brought Batman home when he was just two weeks old and today he is 10 weeks old and 10.5 inches! His tail started to shed again today...I think he's going to be a big guy

In all honesty...and not in an offensive way at all...Venser? And the geckos (leopard maybe?) really creep me out. I know the love you have for them and I myself am in love with a beardie which most "real life" friends can't understand. Those two just scare the poop out of me. I couldn't touch those. From a distance I can deal with geckos but whatever Venser is, whoah. That one scares me. Not sure if its the length between the legs or the pointy face.

Again, totally not wanting to offend as I understand the love. Just sayin' I couldn't do it!! :shock:

:laughhard: No offense taken! I can understand where you are coming from. Here's a breif story on how they all happened:

Ava:
Leos were 1/2 off and so were there supplies and leos had been recommended to me along with beardies. She's more of Paul's baby. Both her and Jace were early x-mas presents.

Venser:
He is a handsome true fire skink. I like him because he's like a snake, but doesn't have their diet. He had been there before I got Jace in early December and was 75% off so my boyfriend and I took him in. We had always admired him, just not his price :lol: My only fear was that tfs are known to, not so much bite hard, but hold on. Sometimes I feel like he thinks about it, but he doesn't scare me nearly as much as Lillix and her screaming.

Lillix:
She was a rescue of sorts. Smallest leo in the viv at Petco and she walked right up to the glass and pawed at me. Could you say no to that? :lol:

Why I like them? I have no clue to be honest. Paul wanted to have a variety of babies and after Ava I swore no more leos.... Look who broke down, huh? :lol:

So my baby will officially be three months tomorrow Unfortunately he is also experiencing his worst shed so far...poor guy. I got a lot of help from everyone here and we've been helping him along. Today his head started...just not that leg

Jace is miserable with his sheds. I keep him on acidophiluz+ and electrolytes (along with Zy), because he always throws up at least once during sheds. Glad Batman takes it better.

I (Batman too) have never experienced a shed like this He is so miserable. Barely eating, parts of him seem swollen, just so sad. We're doing all we can to get him through it but this one has gone on for over 2 weeks!

You can buy him acidophiluz+ and electrolytes. Always helped Jace.

Are these topical? Or something he ingests? Where do I get them? I'm just thinking that maybe he will have more of these sheds as apposed to the easy "I'll just crawl out of my skin now" type we have experienced.

It's a liquid and both come with eye droppers. He's supposed to get three drops of it a day. This stuff works great because the acidophiluz+ keeps the appetite up and the electrolytes keep him hydrated with dehydration being a cause for lack of appetite as well. Jace has never had an easy shed and Zy is typically much easier at shedding, but I still give her both while shedding just in case.
