raw spot inside on lower lip

hey all. It's been awhile since I posted I know...been very busy with work school & kids. We had a great Halloween including Lil' Miss. She loved the drive ins lol she sat on the dashboard to watch Frankenweenie.
I have a question about her mouth. It doesn't appear to be mouth rot. I couple weeks ago she was eating a super & she jerked her head. I assumed it either bit her or dug in good. Her mouth looked fine, didn't see anything. This last week her lower lip on the inside looks a bit raw. No swelling, no black. It's not looking worse, but it's not looking better either. She's drinking the last two baths as well. Should I put some diluted betadine on it a couple times a day & see if it looks better? If you didn't know what her mouth usually looks like, you'd miss the raw spot, it's that hard to notice. But it's nothing that I just want to let go since I haven't seen improvement on it's own this week. I'm afraid if I leave it be it will just get worse.

Hi there....you might try raw unpasteurized honey, applied with a Q-tip. You can dilute it with a tiny bit of warm water to soften it. It's a natural antibacterial/antibiotic. She might like that better than the Betadine.

thank you so much! Like a true beardie mom, I was stressing & took her to the rep vet today. He said she definitely has some irritation & could be the start of something, so he gave some cleansing gel. 10 days twice a day. She is a fatty little thing 716 grams. He cut her back to 2 protein feedings a week & vitamins & calcium twice a week. Dark, rich greens as much as she will eat everyday! Thanks again for your reply. Never knew about honey & it's a great alternative. Vet said betadine ingested over time can cause some complications as well.
