Random freakout with stress marks

My 2 month old beardie, Mushu, jumped off his basking spot and started freaking out, running around the tank.. This lasted only for two minutes, but his coloring became super dark. (He was also very dark earlier when hunting for the crickets).. Should I be concerned about this strange behavior?

Also, when he turned dark from hunting the crickets, I didn't take him out because I wanted to see if he would lighten up himself, and he did, after going back to his basking spot. When he had his freakout session, I took him out, and after a few minutes, he lightened up.

I'm not sure if this happens any other day of the week because I'm usually at school or work.

Just in case you want to know about his set up- he's in a 20 gal long tank with a powersun uv bulb (100w). His basking spot is about 106* and cool side is about 80*.

I had the same exact setup when I got my baby Flash. I had some issues with her being dehydrated because the 20 gal tanks are easily overheated by the mercury vapor bulbs. I switched to a reptisun 10.0 by zoo med and a regular household bulb for basking and now bathe Flash every single night. She is doing much better and no more of the glass surfing/freaking out thing. How close to the top of the tank do you have your bulb?

He's about 7-8 inches away from the bulb. It was the first time he's freaked out and I haven't seen it again since then.. I've had him for over a month now and that was the only time it's happened (at least that I know of).. And I have a digital infrared thermometer from zoo med and it is pretty accurate. His basking spot is always somewhere around 105*.
