I have a cage thats 36" long x 18" wide x 16" high.

Im wondering what the proper setup would be for a baby bearded dragon in regards to the reptisun 10.0?

Specifically what size bulb/hood would work best for my cage size?

Thanks for your help.

i have the same size cage and i use an 18inch. it just needs to be set above the basking area, about 6 inch from them. also i hear it good not to have it run along the whole cage so that they can get away from the uvb if they want.

Sorry i have to disagree, it should run 2/3 of the cage at least, so a 24". Hides offer shaded spots, when my female was smaller i didnt offer a full hide but a platform she could sit under. babies can be skittish and will hide alot anyway - but they do need UVB, so many people esp breeders will not offer any hides for this reason. the should have a nice temp gradient with a 'cool' spot to chill out of they get too hot!

Thanks for the comments. I think 24" makes sense, I dnt want to span the whole cage but 18" seems kinda small.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
