I've read the article on Brumation, but my Little Foot doesn't fit much of that criteria.. He's a sub adult(9" head to tail) Red Hypo Trans, my husband and I have had him for about 3 months, got him from a local breeder. Some of the things he does that make me think he's possibly going into Brumation is he gets pretty crappy with my husband when he tries to pick him up to feed him, we feed him in a separate container. He does eat, he's cut back from 2x a day feeding to 1x with about 6 Dubai roaches covered in Calcium with D3. But he has no problem when I pick him up, he actually runs to my hand and runs up my arm and lays down. I've also noticed he will take naps, but it's not on his cool side, or under his hide. It's off to the side of his basking spot. He's very easily woken up, if you just walk past him, he opens his eyes, and pops his head right up. He's very active after we get done with his feedings, runs all over his tank, and usually poops what I'm guessing is the yesterday's food. He wakes up when his lights come on, and is asleep right when they turn off(if he's awake when they go off). Could it just be a weird brumation, or could he be trying to tell me something's wrong?
Tank: 55 gallon

Subtrate: Warm side- Brown Reptile Carpet, Cool Side- paper towels

Nothing's changed since we got him.
Dubai's are kept in a 10 gallon, fed carrots and random stems from greens we feed Little Foot.
Thank you in advance!
