I’ve had my baby beardie home now for about a month he is doing great! He has a 40 gallon breeder. I recently found this nice big log ide like to put in the tank for him to climb on but I would have to take out some decor. One of the pieces I would have to take out is where he normally basks on. Im afraid of taking the stuff out and adding this new log it will through him for a loop and make him scared again? Any suggestions or do I sound stupid and over thinking this !

Hello, congrats on the new friend!
And to answer your question, introducing anything new will maybe scare them a little at first, but it won't revert any social progress you've had with your beardy. And they won't get confused, I've moved and replaced basking logs and decor many times in my cage and each time my beardy adapts, she just wants a place where she can lay comfortably under the heat lamps. So just make sure the log is long and wide enough and it shouldn't be an issue. :)

But have fun and good luck with you're baby!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
