Like Snazzy said, do not give them mealworms at any age and the link Snazzy provided will cover all food/greens and will also tell you the frequency you can give him/her each item.

What about phoenix worms a lot and crickets on some days with greenies everyday?
Sounds good to me! :D
Edit: I forgot to mention- if your parents are worried about buying a lot of bugs, you could also consider adopting an adult. They eat 35 to 50 large-sized feeders per week, instead of hundreds of small size per week :)

I think Zack already has a baby or Juvinile Beardie.

No I dont :D But I CANT WAIT UNTIL I DO! My older brother had one for 8 years and it passed away when I was around 10 years old. I just forgot some of the stuff I needed to car for it. Now I have most of the info I need and I hope to get it soon once I continue to speak with my parents

1) Young beardies are supposed to eat 50 crickets a day!? Do i buy crickets everyday!? My parents are still wondering how they will be able to buy crickets erveryday. I am still trying to convince them that I will feed them and they will buy them.

2) Can I feed them mealworms some days and crickets other days, and a small bowl of kale, or lettuce. If I do Buy crickets where do I keep them, just in a plastic crate or another small cage? Please, some tips.

1) Buy $5-$10 dollars worth of crickets, & get a Rubbermaid tuper ware thingy ma jig. Dump them all in there w/ egg cartons. You know have yourself a cricket keeper that will last you a week+ depending on how well you clean it out / feed the crickets. Offer carrots / any type of gut-load feeders & cricket drink. You will no longer have to go every day to get crickets.

2) It is always good to mix up food but if he is a hatchling or Juvenile I would NOT offer Mealworms since their shell is hard to digest & can cause impaction. Try Phoenix Worms instead. I offer my Juvenile two servings of Phoenix Worms & one serving of crickets a day. I now believe he is obsessed. xD Phoenix Worms alone are high in calcium / protein & do not need dosing unlike crickets. Always offer fresh veggies daily. Eventually he'll start eating but it won't be easy.

the PetSmart around us, only get crickets on Tue & Thur. I went last week in the evening on Tue, & they were already sold out! I did have enough to last well past Thur, though, so please don't think he starved until then! I buy 100 @ a time, (up from 50 first few weeks) & I knew I was going to need more earlie  r than normal this week, so I popped in right @ noon (delivery time) Tue, to get my 100! Good thing, as he did not have enough to last through Tue night! I buy in advance to make sure they are gut loaded, but have had problems with them dying or getting too big before he can go through them all if I buy too many. I have a small & a large cricket keeper, so I transfer the existing crickets to small, then clean, & take large w/me to the store.

Zach: this is a quote I wrote from another thread. I got some info about feeding from another post as well. I'll they & copy paste for you.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
