My Pazuzu is about a year old now and I was wondering if I need to start transiting to an adult diet. I am currently feeding him dubias, as many as he will eat in 10 min once a day, and vegies all day. One day a week I do no bugs. I do not have a scale to weigh him but he seams a bit fat ( this could just be me though, but his belly almost touches the ground when he is eating). Its so cute. I would post picks but my phone will not let me.

I would really like to know if this is the proper time to move him to an adult diet and how I should go about making the transition.

Pazuzu seams perfectly health to me eating normally pooping normally eats his vegies ext. He gust seams a bit fat, and I do not want to over feed him

You can start to transition him to mostly veges. It is a gradual transition though. Keep offering him as much salad as he wants and provide a nice variety in the salads depending on what you can get fresh each week. Slowly reduce the frequency of bug feeding until the bugs are only about 20% of what he's eating. Maybe reduce the feedings slowly until it's every other day or so. Keep an eye on his weight. It's not an exact science so you'll need to play around with routine/schedule a bit to see what works best.

Just don't offer them as much. Try skipping a day like you are, then skip two and so on until bugs are maybe every other day. Provide nice fresh salads with rotating items to pique interest. Salads should be daily and bugs should eventually be every other day or maybe third day depending on how many he eats. You kind of have to eyeball it a bit but you'll want it to come out to around 80% salad and 20% bugs overall.

OK thank you for all the help the only question I have left is how long should this transition take? I was thinking about a month, or should I stretch it out longer

It really depends and varies from dragon to dragon. It could be quick, it could take 6 months. Just try your best to read the situation.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
