Questions about my Beardie's behavior

First: I said its name would be Vaike. His name is Nevada, he was born on August 29, 2015. He's pretty chill for the most part. But, when I held him for the 4th time (4th day handling it), I let him crawl around on me a little bit, and he was on the side of my shoulder, and for some reason, he hissed at me without any blackbeard going... He's been shedding a little bit (hence him scratching his face on the log that he basks on), too. How do I have proof? His left hindleg has shed. Otherwise, he's relaxed. I'm really unsure of why he hissed at me. Nevada's my first Beardie and first reptile. I HAVE sexed him, he is male. So, can someone help me figure out what's going on with him? Any help is appreciated!

If he's otherwise acting normally, he may be bothered by the shed. They tend to get pretty moody during sheds (who can blame them?). It's also possible that something just startled him and made him upset. It doesn't sound like anything you did wrong, just a passing mood.
