Question: How can I control my juv beardie better?

At what age should you start letting them out more? My little Gandolf is I believe 3-4 months old (he's about 8") and he loves escaping. I take him out a couple times a day and he leaps and any opportunity and starts running away. Is that normal or bad? Will he chill out eventually? I just want to be able to let him loose but I'm afraid he's gonna escape or hide somewhere.

Slick is 3 mo. old. I just put him in a dragon proof zone and let him run around. I'm sure they are curious. I prefer to put him on the floor to roam around. He tends to think he is a super dragon and will try to "fly" off the bed or couch. :roll: After he runs around for a few minutes, he will run to the closest human and run up them on to our shoulder and hang out. This is of course after he has licked everything in sight and tried to climb the walls (literally). Im sure after they grow up a bit they will mellow out.

Yeah I really hope they mellow out! Gandolf is about 10" now (not sure bout age exactly lol) and yesterday I finally took him out to roam around. He ran all around my living room, trying to climb walls, climbed all over me, and it was fun! He kept trying to go under the couch though.

I wonder, if he run loose under something like the fridge or couch, will he come right back out? I really want to just let him loose with no barriers (except anywhere he could fall of course) but I don't know when i should or if i should?

I don't know if I'd trust mine to come right back out if he got under the couch or bed! I know that when they get older, they do mellow a bit.
