Linus just had his first Birthday, Yay! My question is, since I believe that he started Brumation in mid October, by slowing down, spending more time in his hide, and not really being active or eating. The odd thing is that he really doesn't sleep alot more, just being extra sluggish. He hasn't lost any weight, hes still 600 grams. Some days he won't come out of his hide, but will be awake. Other days he will spend under his UV light, and go to sleep there at night. I checked the light output with a solarmeter, and it registers 3.5, so alls good there. His temp range is at 80 cool area, up till 96 hot area, with a mid range of 90. I believe all is in order there.
His eating is almost 0, just a superworm or 2 every other day or so, nothing more. I put out the salad every day, and offer worms every day as well.
As I posted a couple times over the last few months, I have given him calcium slurrys periodically just to make sure that he has enough calcium in his system, and baths weekly.
How much longer will he be in brumation? Any ideas? Is his behavior normal? I have seen posts by other members that seem to show that not every Beardie does this. Here is a new pic of him, is he in good shape?

If you're worried you can bump the temps. up by about 3 degrees in the basking area so he becomes more active. He is a bit young to have that long of a slow down period [ not true brumation ] If you want, have a fecal test done in about a month, but try a little more heat and keep his lights on 14 hours a day to see if it increases activity first.
