Question about repti-sun 10.0

Izzy's new light arrived yesterday and I switched lights right away, switched from the reptiglo.. I've noticed after the light has been on a while I can see what looks like waves of light through the tube.. Has anyone ever noticed this before and is it normal for them to do?

You should really burn in the light for about 24 hours before using it. I really can't remember the exact reason why, but it was something about the rays it gives off when it hasn't been used yet.

Eek! I didn't know that, hope I didn't do anything that would harm Izzy! He seems okay. Will have to keep my eye on him for a while.. Thanks for the response..

It's ok. I didn't know this when I got the bulb either. Lemon didn't seem phased but its best to be safe than sorry.

I wanted to add to this, after the first full day of the bulb running I haven't noticed the waviness in the bulb. Thanks Lemmonade for your response
