Hello everyone!

I am a new Dad of a wonderful 5 month old beardie, King Arthur!

Actually, I have a two part question. Hopefully I can get some input.

1) My beardie is pretty healthy. He eats both insects and greens/veggies without problem. However, and here is my quandry. he will only poop in the bathtub. He will not deficate in his tank at all. Ever. So his belly stays big until I give him a bath, to which he immediately drops a huge load. Is this normal? Is it ok?

2) I was told by my dealer to only soak him 2 times a week. Because of his pooping issue, I have upped his bathing two every other day. Otherwise, he does not eat!

HELP!!!

It's not unheard of :) some people train their dragons to do this to minimize cage messes. Not sure about reversing the process though.
You can give him a bath daily, even just until he poos without harming him.

I agree with taterbug. You can bathe him daily until he poops with out any harm. A lot of people prefer it that way, it's a lot easier to send down the drain than cleaning the tank. I would do it daily to keep things moving, if you know what I mean.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
