Okay, I went to Lowes yesterday to look at Duck brand shelf liner and, although it really seems to be constructed the same way as the Con-tact brand I bought from Target, it doesn't have the toxic smell, so I feel safer using it. So for anyone out there looking to buy shelf liner, Duck brand at Lowes seems good and Con-tact brand at Target seems bad. This is only a temporary solution for me anyway. We're in the process of converting an old display case into a viv for Clyde and we'll invest in real tiles for that one.
