Question about drinking habits.

My beardie is probably about a year old now. When i first got him I would always leave some water in his water dish. He would use it some but back then I wasn't feeding him a lot of green just mostly bugs. Now that he is older he eats a lot of collards and other green. I like to wet them down a bit so they don't dry out as fast. But my point is I never see him drink. Sometimes but very little I see him drink some water while he is in the bath. Is this normal or what should I be doing?

Yeah that's normal. They get most of their hydration from their food. They are designed to be pretty efficient with water and don't need a whole lot. You can leave the water dish in the tank if you want as long as it isn't making it too humid though. I'd also continue to offer regular baths to give him a chance to take a drink if he'd like.

Thanks for the reply. I thought it was normal but wanted to make sure he wasn't thirsting to death.
