I have a 6 year old male bearded dragon named Richie. He has always been very healthy, but over the past 2 days I've noticed an odd purple/gray discoloration around his mouth and nostrils. I am also concerned because I believe that his gums might be a little red and swollen. However Richie is still very active, eating regularly, and does not seem bothered by this at all. He recently shed approximately 2 months ago so I'm not sure what could be causing this or if it's anything serious. Has anyone ever experienced a similar situation? And if so, what caused it and how was it resolved? I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks,
Caitlin

Hello Caitlin and Welcome,

I am not sure what is going on with your beardie's mouth. Could it possibly be shed around the mouth and nostrils?

If you could post a picture of your beardie's mouth and nostrils...it will help tremendously to be able to see it!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
