Puking water first time drinking water after baytril

Okay so my sweet boy meeko is 3 years old. His temp run about 100 on his basking spot and 80 on the cool side. He has all the correct bulbs. Eats crickets, collard greens and some dried mealworms and then I switch between mangos, apples, carrots, kale, squash and stuff like that then dust with calcium. His humidity runs30-40
On 3-2-17 I rushed my baby to the vet because I had gotten back from Florida from my wedding and he was COUGHING! so the vet said he has a VERY bad respitory infection and put him on baytril shots till 3-21-17 all this time I was told to not give him water because he gets worse after drinking. Plus he was on a carnivore care and baby food mix for food and the vet said he would get all the water he needs from it plus his baths (he didn't drink ). He's back to normal eating Also he is about to take his 2nd round of pancur this coming week. Well I gave him a bath today and he drank a whole bunch of water. I put him back in his cage and he fell off his rock and a whole bunch of water and saliva came out then he puked up more after and now he's acting fine. Im so broke from all the vet bills and want him better already. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH HIM? PLEASE HELP! HE IS MY BABY I NEED ADVICE!?!

i don't want to give you the wrong advice at all, but i can see what i can do. a lot of time bearded dragons drink so much water at once and try to swallow it all at once, and it goes the wrong pipe and either they try to swallow it or throw it back up. sometimes to much water can cause respiratory infection, but not likely!
what i would do, is next time he gets in a bath, limit him on what he can drink. after two sips of water, lift his head up let him swallow, and if he wants more let him have more, but this time add one more sip. after his third sip pull his head up and let him swallow. i would limit to 5-7 sips. bearded dragons do not know when to stop, they will drink until there beard is full of water! :lol: :lol: :lol:

I swear this whole month he's woke up everyday thinking " how can I scare my mom today?" In fact he scared me to death agian a minute ago he bulged his eyes out! I hadn't ever seen that happen!

all the time, my beardies never know when to stop. if i let them drink too much, i get puked on. :lol: :lol: :lol:
its so much fun to clean up after getting it on my clothes and on my face. :lol: :lol:
bearded dragons are full of surprises and will do anything to scare us.

Hello,

Poor guy , he just drank too much/fast, which happens frequently.
They do love to keep us on our toes, for sure! Maybe keep him a bit warmer overnight, just in case he had any water go down the wrong way!
I am sure he will be just fine!

If your wondering about eye buldge usually just shedding. If he is doing anything else out of the ordinary though, may wanna put that on ER section.
