Puffing up, holding breath, after eating

I've noticed this 3 times now. After Draper has a particularly large meal, he will hop up to his basking spot and puff out/in his beard 5-10 times rapidly. It looks like he's sucking air in....at first I thought he ate too much and was going to . His belly gets all blown up like a balloon, probably twice it's normal size (when standing on all 4's, not pancaked). The he holds his breath for about 10-20 seconds....and lets all the air out, and returns to normal. The he flattens out on his basking spot.

Weird? It looks like he's trying to pack everything he just ate down as far as he can....that's my guess.

He's also about to shed....could he be trying to bust through his old skin?

Lil' Miss starts off every morning doing that. I'm sure like everything else there's a reason, but I don't know what it is. I notice that during a shed it does it throughout the day and not just in the morning. It looks to me like she's trying to stretch everything out.

Yep, "beard stretches".

A little alarming when you first witness it, but it's totally normal. It's just them getting comfy.

I love watching Stan do it! Watching the big guys and gals do their beard stretches is pretty impressive, but when the babies do it - ITS SO CUTE!!!
