Puffing like crazy

So my bearded dragon really likes his showers theirs loads of tail wagging and running around but recently I've motces while he's in the shower he's been puffing up and it kinda looks like he's dry heaving but it only ever happens in the shower could he just be streatching and enjoying the warm water ??? Or could it be a sign that he doesn't actually like it and im reading his body language wrong

You are giving him a shower, bearded dragons cannot live in humid places and I imagine much less steamy ones. It's probably a little tough to breathe if the shower is warm and there's steam around him.

That's what I thought other than leaving all the doors open and everything is there any way to help dissipate the humidity or should I go back to baithing ?

Yes definitely go back to bathing. Respiratory problems are no fun to deal with! They can cause many other problems too!

The water in the shower shouldn't be so warm that its very steamy, so humidity wouldn't be too big a worry but maybe more than bathing. You would want something more like gently warm rain, it sounds like he might not like it though (heavy breathy) but I can't tell from the description.

I use a misting bottle (or the hose in the summer) and sometimes Pepper will try to run out of the spray or breath heavy and close his eyes (doesn't like it) and other times he will inflate and sort of wallow around on the wet surface and drink the drops on his face (likes it... I think?).

Drayce does both of those he also likes to climb onto my head sometimes too I like to sit in there with him Cuz that way I can hold him etc
