Puff =)

It's been a while since I've made a thread about Puff, so I thought I'd make one now

A few months ago, I was very afraid Puff had MBD, but I was going through a rough time in my life so I think I made it seem worse than it was. The only symptoms she was showing, was bending her hands, and fingers weirdly. She still does that, but otherwise, she seems healthy. She is a great eater when it comes to worms, crix, but she is pretty picky about veggies and fruit. She will eat a little apple here and there, but only if we hand feed it to her. We just got a melon, and I'm sure she'll dig that She is very energetic and is a total dare devil. One of her favorite things to do is jump off my bed :roll: or when I let her walk around on my desk while I'm on the computer, she always tries to slip down behind it, which I don't let her do because last time she did, she made no effort to escape and decided to fall asleep, which made it extremely difficult to get her. She is turning out to be a very pretty girl! Her head is bright yellow, and the line all the way down her spine is too. On either side of her spine, is orange and a purple/blue color. Her beard is white and orange, as well as her arms, and legs. And her tummy is white. I love very dearly!!

Right now, she is housed in a 20 gallon-long viv, with towels covering 2/3 of the floor, the other 1/3 is sand, in her basking area. I know I had said several times before that we were building her new viv, but... we never did. I feel very guilty that we have not built it yet BUT her birthday is this Sunday, and we are for sure getting it done! Phoenix worms are also in order for her birthday

My Beardies are the same! Everytime I put the. On my be they jump off of it onto the floor, so I don't even try to keep them up on the bed anymore

Haha yea, I usually put her on the bed when I'm watching, while I'm not, she gets free roam of my room. Today, I am at home while my mom is working (I have lice ) and I'm keeping all the cats out and she has the house every couple minutes, I go and make sure she's ok, and not doing anything she's not supposed to. She loves exploring, her favorite place is the bathroom... I let her walk around in there for a few minutes but I grab her before she goes behind the toilet.. its pretty nasty back there :roll:

My beardie Jackie likes to sleep under my bed after she is done roaming around in my room, and her other place is behind my punching bag. I had to take the bag down to make room for my beardies' enclosure and she slips in behind it and goes to sleep. My other Beardie Fred doesnt sleep until bed time

Usually my room is very messy and there's a lot of nooks n crannies for her to hide in/sleep in, but since I have lice, we've cleared my room, so she just wanders around One of her favorite places is behind my computer when its on because it blows out warm air, and she just curls up in front of the air and goes to sleep Ohhh beardies! Gotta love 'em!

Yea lol it takes me a while to find them when they are hiding because I'm in serious need of a room cleaning as well, just too lazy to do it right now 8)

Yea haha I can't honestly say that I have never not been able to find Puff in my room before. Once, I actually searched for nearly an hour and was close to tears because I had no idea where she was :roll: she was actually just curled up in the corner of the room... I laughed when I found her that taught me a lesson... now I check on her every few minutes. LOL.

Wow.. I'm so sorry I really am... I really have no excuse for not posting the pictures... I have just been so wrapped up in all the other things happening in my life. Posting the pics has always been in the back of my head, and I kept telling myself I would do it... but I'm only doing it just now. So... here are the pics I promised so long ago...

Well... it seems Puff may indeed have MBD
I went on a trip to visit my family with my brother for two weeks and left my mom in charge of caring for Puff. Before I left, she was doing fine, eating her veggies, loving her bugs and only rarely did her wrists and fingers get bent backwards. But, as soon as I get home, I notice her bending her wrists/fingers a whole lot more than before, and when I came home from mentoring at a camp today, I noticed her hand tremor. It was horrifying to me, and she didn't seem to like it either. She wasn't as friendly as usual either.
After she sat in the sunlight for a while, I gave her a bath, hoping it would calm her down- thankfully, it did. She is now sleeping in the blanket on my bed.
So, the viv issue isn't much improving. My dad is never gonna have the time to build one with me, so I am opting to just buy a larger glass terrarium/aquarium/vivarium. I have been searching for the right one for weeks now but it has so far been inconclusive. I tried all the locally owned pet stores first, looking for an at least 48" L and 18" W one.. the largest any of them had was 36" L and thats about 5" bigger than what she has now. So, I went to the larger stores- Petsmart (altho I hate them), Petco. And it was the same story there. My last attempt will be the interwebs.. now, there are so many options online, I don't want to order from a company who is so-so. Have any of you guys gotten from or heard of a good place to order vivs online that's at least semi-affordable?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

EDIT: I am scheduling a vet appointment today. I know I said that a while ago, its just the vet in my town has a reptile specialist, but she only comes in on certain days.
