Today I was giving Mazais (not the bearded dragon with URI, that's Ropey) a bath. As in all baths, I massaged her belly. After massaging for about a minute, I saw what I at first thought was poop coming out of her vent. Upon closer inspection, I found out that it was a prolapse. Probably a Colon prolapse. It was pretty big, but not extremely big. It was about the size of a small marble, maybe a bit smaller, and Mazais is 40 cm (16 inches) long. I took Mazais out of the bath, and gently lifted up her tail (She usually closes her vent when I do this), and it quickly went back inside.
She is not impacted, as 5 minutes later a big, solid healthy poop came out of her vent, with no sign of the prolapse. Could this be a one-time event that I shouldn't worry about, or should I book a vet visit? Ropey's getting one in the next few days and I could bring Mazais too, I guess.
Thanks.
