i bred my proven female marketed leucistic 100% het trans to my proven yellow leatherback probable double het on april 18th, a few weeks ago probably 2 or so weeks ago she layed the eggs(may 22-23 i think) and that was that she layed 22 eggs. i left her in her lay enclosure for 3 days after to make sure all the eggs were out of her. well yesterday she poped out another egg in her cage but it was now fertile it was yellow and smaller. she bit it and the insides squirted out but im jsut curious why she layed this egg so long after she layed her clutch? she doesnt appear to be gravid at all but she has been fattening back up from her last clutch. of that clutch of 22, 3 came out kinda wierd looking and quickly molded over so i removed them. i candled the eggs with a regular house light bulb because i did not have a flashlight and i did not see any red in them but i put all the eggs in the incubator anyway jsut in case and so far they all look fine so im hoping they are good. when will i know if she is good tobreed with a new male or not? im selling the male i bred to her because ig to new ones in and i needed the cage space so i want to put her with a new male.
