We are expecting a large snow storm with very high winds tomorrow. For the first time since moving here, the news stations are telling everyone to expect probable loss of power.
If we don't loose gas I'll be able to keep my house at 70 degrees, maybe 75 if I push it. So, for the most part my house will be fine but I can't adapt my viv for the higher temps. So I have a 10 gal tank to put Bruce in and back up bug out supplies but I have no idea what to use for a heat sorce. Is there anything better than heat packs? Bugging out probably won't be practical because all of us will more than likely be with out electricity. Should I be looking for alternative lights as well? My house is 112 years old and still has original leaded glass in the windows, would that let in what he needs?
I am including some of the forum help questions just so you know a bit about where he is coming from:
