power outage info

so, where I live the power goes out alot and i wanted to know what you all do for your dragon when the powers out... i didnt know if somehow we can buy a battery light or something or just something that we can use for our beardies to help keep the heat until the power was restored....

Hi, yea im needing some of the same info. A tornado ripped through our tiny town last night and looks like it will be days before power is restored. Its currently high 70s in temp but what can I do for them... Will they be ok or do we need to pack em up and find them electricity asap? Thx in advance

thats normally what i do too.. pack up & go somewhere, but his tank is just so heavy & i dont wanna take any chances on breaking it and it gets tiring going back & forth and since i cant afford a generator & live in a small apartment it'd be nice to have some sort of back up for him.. atleast its hot here where i live so thats the only plus.

When the power goes out in my building so they can do work I take my beardies outside In the sun for 30-60 mins before be after feeding. If you can, keep them outside all day until it's dark.

i would think if there is some way of making the rice sock and warming it up from time to time would be enough to keep them warm enough if they hang out on it.

You can also purchase the handwarmers from walmart just make sure u wrap them in something so they don't burn them.

You can also use an uninteruptable power supply like is used on computers, you should be able to find one that will run a basking light and UVB bulb for a couple hours or so for a reasonable price.
