I dee alot of people can't get basking temp spot on what you want to do is if you have a 4foot tank you want to put the bulb fitting on a chain so you can adjust the temp I have a 75W bulb and just a bulb no cover or anything and my temps are spot on it takes about 30min -hour to get to the temps but it's all good. Hope this is usefull if not worth a shot lol
