I believe drogo is 4 years old or so. Over the past two years he started a mild brumation in the late winter/early spring. Usually mid March. The previous two years, he slowed down for a week before brumation (not eating nor active), and then I would wrap him in a light t-shirt and he would sleep for 3 or 4 days, then wake up refreshed and ready to go.
THIS year, the same thing happened. Slept for 5 days this time, but when he emerged from the t-shirt he hasn't been himself. He's been very inactive and has not touched his collards/veggie mix (occasional bell peppers or carrots). The little stinker will perk up for a superworm or if I put any crickets in his tank. I haven't wanted to feed him too many insects, as I need to get him back on veggies and make sure he does a #2 on his own.
He hadn't #2 since his brumation, so 2 days ago I syringed him pumpkin and (like clockwork) he #2ed a couple hours later.
Still being inactive after the #2, hasn't really wanted to bask and won't eat his greens.
So my question is, is this a normal behavior to be on a Post-Brumation slowdown? Or is my boy starving himself and low energy because he is picky and choosing not to eat his greens? Or maybe he's hitting adulthood/maturity and slowing down (that doesn't explain not eating though)..
Any suggestions? I've tried baths, sunbathing.
He's in a 50 gallon tank, uvb gets changed ever 6 months, basking temp is between 95-102 depending on the time of day. 12 hr on/off light cycle, ceramic heater keeps the basking spot at 85 at night. Cool side is 74
