Possibly gravid beardie?

I've had my girl in her lay box for about three hours today, and she was freaking out, like scratching at the walls of her terrarium (wall surfing?) and that's why I put her in there. She's been getting chubby, and she doesn't like to eat as much. Her beard sometimes darkens and she just sits in her water bowl at night. She refuses to dig, but she's been acting strange all day, running around her terrarium, knocking things over, and she keeps pooping! I can't feel the eggs in her tummy, but I think they're there... I just don't want her to become egg bound... Help?

Hi Dr.S...I saw the pics of her + her laying set up in the health forum, she is a pretty girl by the way, probably had some tiger in her background but is not a true morph, but certainly a beautiful standard/normal phase dragon. She may be carrying eggs, infertile ones can't always be felt.

As for a laybox, there are 2 things you can do. You can use that 20 gal. , just make sure she's not too hot in there. Most beardie like the substrate to be much deeper but you might get away with putting an upside down shoe box [ or similar sized box ] and cut one end off to make it a cave. Then pile more sand in there but dig some out to start a tunnel for her. The other thing to do is get a tall plastic storage tote , preferably one she can't see through, and dump twice as much sand in it. Pile it high on one side, about 10" and start a tunnel for her.
