Possible URI?

Okay right now something weird is happening... He is breathing really heavily to the point where his entire body moves as he breathes. I took a video of it, even though this is when he calmed down a bit. In the video i also show his swelled knee that is limiting his movement (i compare the swelled left one to the normal right one). And his overall appearance now. I am really worried because he never breathed like this before. New problems seem to come up every day since we started medication.... Idk if its the parasites or medication but something bad keeps happening as a previous bad thing disappears... Head shaking stops --> seizures begin. - Front left leg stops swelling --> Hind left leg becomes stiff. Appetite gets better --> lethargy increases. Really weird stuff... And it all started from the day of the vet... Please any input? Could this heavy breathing/puffing up just be from shedding or is it a respiratory infection. Forgot to mention that as he breaths his beard puffs up and it looks like he is constantly swallowing, then he starts to gape and his breathing stops. The second he closes his mouth it starts up again.



Edit: Here is a better video of his massive gulping/breathing. He only stops this for like a minute because he gapes, then closes his mouth and continues it.. Im worried as hell! wth is this? ANd its been lights out for like 36 minutes now and he isnt a sleep just massively breathing. HELP!

Edit: ALso i read that it can sometimes be a result of a piece of shed being stuck in their nasal passage. And today i did notice something in his left nostril only, didnt look like mucus.

How is your baby doing?
Yes, retained shed in the nostrils can affect their breathing quite a bit. Do you have anything in the tank that could be emitting fumes of some type such as pine or cedar?
Have you heard any coughing or wheezing? You mentioned you have not noticed any mucous or discharge from his nose, but, what about in his mouth?
What are the temperatures in the tank, & do you use a digital probe or a temp gun to measure the temperatures? What is the humidity in the tank?

Yes mucus is in the mouth. And it is a URI. The vet insists on an x-ray and then he will prescribe meds for the uri, and he needs another dose of pancur then another fecal. The bills were getting insane so i found an exotic animal and iguana shelter in the tri state area. Today i sent him there and explained his condition, and his origins from the terrible care in petsmart etc. They ensured that they will rehab him and then put him up for adoption. I payed a surrender fee, and im expecting a healthy beardie from rioreptiles. I really didnt want to do it. But the vet bills were going to enter 250+ dollars in total and im a teenager using salary/allowance to pay for my little beardies needs. So im expecting my new beardie saturday and i said good bye to my sick little guy today

Oh geez, I am sorry that you had to surrender your dragon like that. I hope that the shelter will make good on their word & take care of him & adopt him out. That is too bad. I understand though, it does get very expensive. Poor little guy.
I know that Rio reptiles will have a nice healthy baby for you.
