Possible humidity control trick?

This might sound like a very stupid thing to suggest, but has anyone ever thought of somehow placing chalk inside the tank of with the bearded dragon? I know that a lot of people put chalk in their tool box to help absorb moisture and prevent tools from rusting.

I use a sock full of rice to help keep down humidity. It makes a nice (kind of like a beanbag) chair or lay spot.

That's smart. Do you ever need to change it out? And has your bearded dragon ever tried to bite into it?

I have one. But it only does so much since his tank is in the living room which is kinda big.

i believe there are small ones that can go in his tank. But I might be wrong. That's just what I heard

Not to my knowledge, she uses it for a step to get on her log, yup she's lazy, lol!!!
I haven't changed it yet and it is been working fine for the last 3 months. Probably give it another month and see how it goes. Its a lot cheaper than a dehumidifier.
