Possible Day Gecko Adoption...

I went to Petco today to get a new leash for Mater and they had a day gecko up for adoption that someone turned into them. It comes with the enclosure and all its deco stuff for $50, however I would have to get new lighting.

I know nothing about day geckos so I wanted to check what I was getting into before I went for it.

This is in the Bloomington/Normal Petco if anyone in the area is also interested I know we have a few members in Central Illinois.

50 bucks is very high for a day gecko, and set up. A day gecko only runs 5 to 10 dollars max.

it depends what kind of day gecko. there are many that will run for a hell of alot more than 5-10 dollars. the thing that has held me up from ever getting one is theyre more of a show lizard than one you can take out and hold alot.

Yes what kind of day gecko? If you are looking at a giant Madagascar day, then you can expect 40-80 bucks depending on red levels.

Before jumping into it, make sure you know what kind it is and be sure the enclosure it comes with is appropriate in type and size.
