Hey evryone!
So a while back, I asked people here what the best substrate to use was and mostly everyone said "slate tile." So, I ended up getting it and it looks fantastic.
Anyway, the first 2 weeks I had the new tile in Gandolf's cage, he was always running around, sleeping up on his basking spot, and eating lots of veggies and about 20-30 large crix per day.
Then, he started sleeping only on the tile. And about a week of him always sleeping on his tile, he started going down to sleep at about 3pm every day (usually he doesn't go down to sleep until about 9pm.) Also ever since he started sleeping more throughout the days, he has been going into his hide away from his lights. Also, he hasn't touched his veggies in a couple weeks and he only eats crix every few days. Sometimes he heats the normal amount and sometimes he only eats 1 or 2.
When i take him out to bathe him or let him roam, he's very active for about 15 minutes and then just wants to sleep. At first i thought it was just him not liking the tile and trying to get used to it. But now, I wonder if it IS brumation or not.
What do you guys think?
