Possible broken rear leg

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and my girlfriend and i just picked up another dragon after 6 years of not having one. She is about 5-6 inches nose to tip of tail. Yesterday she got her foot stuck under her basking rock and twisted herself out and her leg was upside down. Today, it's not swollen or discolored and she was using it but not putting much if any weight on it. She is eating fine and let's us handle her.I will attach images later. Any thoughts or input is greatly appreciated

I think I would send a message to AHBD or Cooper dragon or definetly take Zoey to the vet. Maybe repost this & ask for Urgent Help. I hope she will be OK. Maybe you should just have 1 basking rock.

That's a nice basking rock. Is there a vet you could take her too for an X-ray?

There is but because of the snow here and my work schedule I can't get there til Tuesday. I spoke to a family member who is a vet and he doesn't think it's broken but definitely bruised but he can't be sure just from the pics. He recommended a friend of his near me who works with reptiles. He recommended to watch her over the weekend and if there is no improvement to take her to the vet

I'm in Germantown, Md, it's a crazy blizzard going on here. Going to be 30" inches of snow before it ends. Nothing will be open for days. The whole DC metro area is on complete shutdown. Zoey will be OK, just get her the X-ray when you can.

I'm in Staten Island, NY. It's supposed to be up to 18" here but sanitation should have it cleared by Monday the latest and I'm off Tuesday so it works out. Other than her leg she seems to be perfectly healthy and I don't see any problems with her healing but still want to see how bad her injury is. Thank you for everything

Be safe, they just declared a state of emergency here. It's not suppose to stop until early Sunday morning. It's coming down so heavy right now. Post a message to let us know Zoey's outcome.

Poor little one....how is Zoey getting around ? You say she's eating O.K ? Like Terry said, if you can't get to a vet because of weather, just see how she gets around and whether or not it swells up. A slight limp may indicate less severe trauma, possibly a bad sprain, but if she won't use it at all + especially if it swells up it's probably broken. Some beardies can get over foot/leg injury with time, but if she seems in distress you'll want to find a qualified reptile vet....not a dog + cat vet. Hopefully she'll be O.K whatever the diagnosis.

Yes she is eating fine and lightly using her leg. I will have my girlfriend send me pics from today to see if any swelling has developed. She is still active and still likes being handled. Thanks for everything

Update on Zoey

using her leg much more today still eating well and seems to be improving. No swelling that I can see but I could be wrong. I may still take her to the vet anyway just to be sure. Thank you again for all of your help.
