possible bonding?

so I recently noticed that every few days when I clean out blade's tank I turn his light off for about half an hour and when I do that is the only time he lets me touch him I even managed to give him a bath to help with his shedding but when his lights come back on and I get close to him he puffs up. do you think I could continue to use this opportunity to bond with him? or will that only make it harder to bond with him when his lights are on?

Why do you close the lights? Just wondering.
What really help bonding for me is hand feeding my dragon. Try slowly putting food close to him if he cant take it from your hand then it will eventually come to love it like mine did. Mine eats only when hand fed now,,, he spoiled.
When he was a baby I used to put my hands in his tank everyday constantly getting salad out, cleanings, petting, feeding...
Just keep at it. I can hand vaccum Dixies cage while he is basking and he doesnt care, I can handle him whenever and get him out of tricky spots by the tail etc...
There is alot of positive when your dragon trust you and doesnt mind you fondling him lol, keep trying !

Ahhh ok.how old is he?Did u try some bugs? Like silkworms etc..?
