pooping at night and shaky legs

my bearded dragon Mordecai has had health problems since the say I got him, he was treated for two different types of parasites when i first bought him (from a pet store, unfortunately he came with them) and when he had parasites i figured it out because he pooped long after his light had been off. (his lighting is within normal recommended ranges) he was treated for the parasites and after a long journey made a full recovery and was declared parasite free.

lately though he has pooped three times when his light wasn't on. the first two where in the really early morning both times about five minutes before i was going to turn on his light anyway, i figured my alarm clock probably woke him up, because its so cold in my house, I had been keeping a ceramic heat lamp on in his tank at night, and when i turned it off after the weather got warmer he seemed to stop pooping in the morning like that. but tonight he pooped at around 2 am, and when i took him out of his tank to clean him up, after his bath his limbs were really shaking. Ive never seen his legs get shaky like that, but they seem to have stopped now that he is warmer and dry, but I'm really worried about MBD. I do try and dust his food, but he's a really picky eater and is a master at avoiding stuff he doesn't want to eat and I'm worried most of the calcium powder has ended up on his face rather than in his belly, he's also barely over a year old.

I took a sample of the poop from tonight, and I'm going to try and get in to see the vet, but his vet doesn't work sundays and i am really worried about him. he always goes black on days when he needs to poop, but today he was only black if i first picked him up, or when id first put him back down in the tank. if anyone has any suggestions of what might be happening to him, or what i can do to take care of him until i can get him in to see the vet it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Can you review your tank setup with us, such as the type/brand of UVB are you using right now?
What supplementation are you using for him?
How are you taking the temperatures in his tank & what are the basking temperatures in his tank?
I would definitely take a fecal sample in to the vets to check for worms/parasites.
Metabolic bone disease is a possibility. Is his beard darkened any?
He may need a calcium booster shot & some daily doses of liquid calcium for him.
Post some pictures of him & his tank so we can see his physical condition.
For now, try to keep him wrm overnight, around 80 to boost his immune system. When are you planning on getting him to the vet?

Let us know how he is doing.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
