Pooped on. Lol

Well I took my new girl out of her cage for the second time today. I have been trying to bond with her and get her to stop hissing and running from me. I have been hand feeding her Dubia roaches for about a week now so I decided to take her out to sit on my lap for a bit. I had to snatch her up with my left hand and place her on my right to get her out of her cage. I out her blanket on top of her on my lap and she seemed to calm down a bit. After about 10 minutes I felt a warm feeling on my leg and then the smell. She pooped on me!!! I got her back in her cage and cleaned up after that. Is she that scared of me that she pooped? Anyone else have this happen before?

She might well be a frightened of you, I'd back off for a while and keep the handling to the absolute minimum and each time I did get her out I'd give her some nice tasty bugs by hand so she learns :
--- you are not going to hurt / eat her
--- you are the provider of bugs
--- your getting her out is going to be a pleasureable experience.

Wise lizard keepers keep a piece of kitchen grade paper towel handy ,and the moment the bottom and big end of the tail goes up , it goes under the business end.

LOL - Wont be the last time you'll be pooed on, sometimes you can miss or misinterpret the queues given by the lizard.
