Okay our soon to be 7 month old lizard was treated for coccidia. he finished the meds about 3 weeks ago, per Tracie's recommendation, I was waiting 2 weeks before dropping off the new stool sample. Anyway, he eats perfectly fine--has since we got his temps right, the right light and calcium intake done right.
I didnt drop a stool sample off yet as his head is getting ready to shed and I think it was Tracie that told me the numbers could be up. Anyway to get to the question at hand, when he poops in his bath he has normal looking stools (the casing, long with white urates immediately beforehand). If he poops on a towel (he is paper towel trained) outside the cage, it is a little looser than if in the bath. However, when he pooped in his cage today--in the middle of his breakfast feeding (lights had been on about 1 hr and 5 mins), he had a very loose poop. He did have blueberries for the 1st time 2 days ago.
So, my question is Is it normal for their poops to be different in a cage versus a bath and can I bring in a sample of his poop from his bath or will it skew the results?
