Poop photo....does this look like a problem?

Hi guys,

Could you please take a look at this. Zoey is a male that is a year old & weighs in at 530g. He's under a repti-sun 10.0 & has a basking light & is on paper towels. He has always been a good eater but this past week he's slow drown alot on eating his crickets. This poop picture was three days of not pooping & I had given him a soak this morning. The last poop had this brownish/tannish color in it. This is the second time now (in a row). Do you have any ideas as to what this is or if you've seen it before? I've been giving him 2 or 3 superworms every day since I've run out of silkworms (I have them on order now since they are back in). Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for your help.

I really could not answer that, but I wanted to make a post this way it will bump you up to the top. Then maybe someone with more experience can help you.

Ok. Thanks. Today he didn't poop but he did eat quite a bit of crickets for me & I did see him eating his salad too. I didn't give him any superworms today. I figure I will stop those for awhile. I did give him some of that Acidophiliz - digestive tract conditioner yesterday so maybe that helped some too. So far so good at least for today.

If anyone has any ideas just let me know. Maybe it was nothing but since it was twice in a row & everything was off from his normal eating & pooping schedule I thought I should just check to see if anyone else has run into this.

Thanks again,
Melissa

Having the same problem here...am curious to see the posts and answers. It happens to Kaida (my daughter's dragon) every couple of weeks...today I could see bits of her crickets that were not fully digested. Which makes me think that i am correct in thinking it is her temps...but she is stubborn at times and refuses to bask under her heat lamp and those are the times it seems to happen.

I would welcome any ideas!!!

Yep, I have one like that too. She tends to not do much basking but her poop seems fine. She seems healthy except she doesn't eat much. It amazes me how some dragons eat like 50 to 80 crickets a day. Even my male who weighs 540 g now never ate that many. So I am not too worried. By the time I get home from work (during the week) Zoey's poo is pretty dried up so I can't tell if he is still pooping like that. But he seems fine & if you say it looks like good poop (as good as poop can be  ) I am fine with that.

Sue, if you continue to see insect parts, from what I've read on here, sounds like a temp problem. But what can you do when they don't want to bask? My baby likes to spend time under her paper towels but she does come out to bask at times too. Again, I am not too worried. She's 4 months old now & weighs in at 70g. I guess that is okay.

Thanks everyone for your replying back.

I have the probe thermometers and the temps are in the correct range...she just doesn't like to bask...so I try to catch her and move the basking light...tonight since my daughter was gone I fed her and then let her run around the room...well she decided she would sit and watch the crickets in their cage for a while, so I moved the basking light (that I attached to a log) and put it on her while she watched them, then she came and sat on me so I moved the light so she stayed in in!!! We will see what happens...otherwise she is fine..eatting her greens, crix...appetite is good!!!!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
