Pool table felt as substrate

is pool table felt ok to use on bottom of bearded dragons cage? also i got a ten gallon and just got a 20 gallon(dont know why i didnt go ahead and get 40gallon) but anyway would be it be ok to go ahead and put him in the new cage or should i wait

A 20 gallon is only marginally bigger than a 10 gallon, so if you can get a 40, do it. I don't think there is a problem with putting a BD into "too big" of an enclosure, if you have the space.

As far as pool table felt, I would think that it's probably more expensive (compared to other things like paper towel), and is probably going to be a pain to clean when they poop.

well i already have the felt cause i had some left over from my pool table. my beardie never uses the bathroom on the carpet stuff anyway he always does it on his basking log which is hard to get it all off.

The felt should be fine, but once you go to a bigger tank i would switch to tiles. Yes, they crap on the hardest to clean things. Mine loves to crap directly on his basking spot, and then doesnt wanna be anywhere near it..
