poo question

hello,

I recently started feeding silkworms to my Dragons as snacks, but I noticed that their poops became loose. Is this natural due to the high fat content in the worms. I'm only asking cause I notice this morning that there were two nice solid poops after I tried not feeding them any worms yesterday. I know this might be stupid, but I was just hoping I didn't have to send them to the vet this soon.

Hi Drew! I have heard other members mention the silkworms make their beardies stools somewhat looser. Mine do not like silkworms, so I cannot speak from experience.
The only thing I can suggest is if they continue to have loose stools( when you are NOT feeding the silkies), then it can't hurt to have fecal exams done.
Other than that it is probably nothing to be overly concerned about.

Same thing happened with mine, the poop definitely got more loose.

Mine did that too when I first started feeding them but eventually it went back to normal. Maybe just the getting used to something new. Now it is
normal again.

okay, great to know. Thanks for the help. I'll give it a little time to see if they get used to it, but I was almost worried for a bit. I saw the benefits of the worms and was hoping it would help with growing and bulking up, and it seems to help since they are growing about an inch a week.
