PLS HELP SOMETHING WRONG!!!!!!!!!

I need help im worried about zig. 1st pic is of him 10min. ago.
2nd pic of him is about 5 days ago. He has all- 10.rept(2of them), heat lamp, temp 107 (hot), 79 (cool).
Poop yest. slight run but ok, he threw up yest. Ate 7 cricks bit ago. Husband just gave bath n lighten up slight but he said he look like gaging on something. PLS PLS PLS HELP ME.

I'm not sure what to say except get him to a vet tomorrow. For tonight keep is temps up to 80 - 85. Hopefully someone with more experience will jump in and maybe a moderator will move this to beardie ER. Also you can pm Drache613..her name is Tracie and she is the most knowledgeable one on here. What are you measuring your temps with? Does he have the Reptisun tube uvb lights? You said 107 on the hot side...if that is the hot side, then it is too hot. What is the basking temp.? You need to know the basking surface temp. Sorry, but I thought of these questions after my last reply. Will do my best to help out.

If he is gagging, we need to try to clear his throat. Offer water with a dropper or syringe. Drip it on his nose so it runs down his lips. If he won't take that, flavor the water with unsweetened juice, or as close to unsweetened as you can get.

Have you noticed any mucous or clear sticky substance in his mouth or coming out his nose? kcarello is right to be concerned about temps.Temp should be no more than 107 at the Basking spot. If you are measuring with a round thermometer you need to get a digital thermometer with a probe. Dial ones can be up to 20 degrees off. He may be too hot. What size is the tank? What is the wattage of the basking bulb? How is he doing now?

He's defiantly stressing out about something. We kept our dragon in my son's room and he always looked like this. I would remove him from his cage and while he was with me, he would turn normal color then back to black when I put him back. I moved his cage to the living room and he's never stressed again. The gagging thing happens to my guy when he's bathing. Its like a swallowing. I think it has to do with being in water. My guy threw up once when he ate to many crickets at one. Sometimes they are like kids and want to be held when they don't feel good. Try putting him in you're shirt, against your warm skin and cuddle.

Thank you all for your help Im so glad that ur all there for me.
I took zig and put him in my robe and layed down with him for and hr. He didnt gag and i listened to his breathing had no difficulty. He fell asleep with me and seemed comfortable. I turned off all his lights and left the heat lamp on it stays about 75 his tank is 36x18x18. I put him in his little sleeping bag (very light material) and he stay's there all night to sleep. He is there now and im going to keep a watch on him through the night. He did get a little lighter after tub. He did eat some cricks earlier. I massaged his throat and checked his abdomen to make sure he wasnt impacted but he did go yesterday all seemed ok nothing out of the normal.
I'm not sure if he is actually a boy. The vet said she couldnt tell yet. Zig did go to the vet 5 days ago and had a healthy check up. If he is a girl could zig get eggs? When do they if they do get them how do you tell.

Glad to hear your Zig seems to be doing better. Yes, if Zig is a girl, she can get eggs, but usually around 1 year old,,in a couple more months you can post a pic of him or her from behind with the tail raised and we will see if we can sex him for you.

Sorry for the late update. Zig is doing a lot better, however, he still will get black in the cage. I take him out of the tank and he is back to normal color. I give him a bath and he is still ok. walk around on my shoulder and he still has good color. He loves to be on my shoulder n then he climbs on my head. He loves to be with me. I dont understand. He is eating cricks, greens, phoenix worm, dusted cricks, and I spray vit. on his food, it's from zilla, he is pooping normal. I cleaned his whole tank but only with water Im going to get the zilla cleaner that is for him. He is eating good and nothing out of the norm. I feel bad 'cause i want to keep him in the heat. Im also having trouble keeping the heat regulated in the tank. I am constantly checking it every 20min. and it changes to hotter and i keep lowering it then check again then to cold, the cool side is about 75 "UGH" I am getting frustrated 'cause I want it to b right for him. I have a halogin 50W 120V its a zoo med repti temp control. I also have (2) 3feet uvb bulbs. Does anyone have anything that could help with this? How many inch. should the light b above him. He is at 7in laying down then about 5 when he is standing. Anything would b great.

Here is the little guy waking up out of his little sleeping bag. He's got good color and he is sooo funny 'cause he hates to get up, he gets up about 1hr after the lights come on. I called him and he stuck out his head like "what do you want mom". He's like a kid getting up for school.

I have re-read your post and I don't see where you answered if you have a Reptisun tube uvb light, I see you said you have 2...but no clarification on the brand,,and this is very important. Do you have the uvb tube lights mounted inside the viv? Zig should be able to get within 6 - 8 inches of the uvb light and you should have a bright white light right next to it. Once you get the uvb light positioned correctly, then you adjust the temps by using a higher or lower wattage basking bulb.
My girl did the same thing when she was younger...she would get dark in her viv and be light and bright when she was out. It had nothing to do with temps, she just loved being out and with me.

he has (2) uvb tube lights and they are outside ontop of the screen. The heat light is also ontop of the screen.
Here are some pics. The temp isnt the exact temp. I couldnt hold it to get the pic. And zig is on the bottom in little sleeping bag. Little guy still hasnt gotten up.

That exactly what my lil guy did! He wanted to be with me or he'd turn dark! What I did, because you can't always be holding them, is I took a heating pad and put a towel over it and sat him on top of it on the arm of the couch. I know I'll get yelled at because its not recommended to put heat under but I kept the setting on low. He would sit there and watch TV with me. Then I made sure he had a place in the cage where he could see the TV from. I have a log decoration with the light near it so its warm but not a basking place. He'd hang there and watch TV. He's probably scared when he's alone. Look back through my posts. I started a thread on this same thing when I first got him.
