plexi glass or screens?

I've seen a lot of posts about using plexi glass as front for sliding doors and such but I was wondering if there is any reason people don't use screens? Like window or patio screens for the front of the terrarium. I am planning to build my own enclosure in a few weeks and I would like to make two wooden frames that open like cabinet doors w/aluminium screening.

something like this:

http://www.homedepot.com/p/New-York-Wire-36-in-x-84-in-Aluminum-Screen-FCS9222-M/100397106#

it's tough, it's cheap, and it's fine enough to ventilate and prevent insects from escaping.

any thoughts?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
