Okay I got a lot of info off this website today and spent about 50 dollars on food and stuff for my bearded dragon after visiting this site. The fact of the matter is I think that she( after reading the sexing guide I think I have a female which might account for the slightly smaller size) seems to have not been eating right. What I see is that the head is very underdeveloped for a 6-7 month old dragon. I think this is mostly my own fault as I have been mainly feeding it iceberg lettuce which has no nutritional value for them.

I bought some juvenile growth food for dragons that smells like bananas and I really need to know how to get her to start eating it!! I also bought her the red light that you are supposed to use at night.

My main questions is will my lizard ever grow to be large or is it permanently stunted to this size? As you can see by the picture the size of her compared to my thumb is ridiculiously small

Please any advice is helpful on food or anything to get my lizard growing to its proper size

Ok well first of all you don't need a red light for a dragon they don't need it and it hurts thier eyes. If you want to get your beardie healthy you have to get your set up right. First of all you need a UVB light, Reptisun 10 is the most popular. Secondly you need to make sure the temps are right, 110 degrees on the basking spot (use a digital thermometer with a probe) and 75-85 degrees on the cool side. A dome light and a normal household bulb should get your temps up. For food you should use crickets or worms and veggies from the list of healthy veggies for beardies. You can try the pellets but it takes a while for them to catch on to them. I would mix them in with the greens. The young dragons need lots of protein for healthy and fast growth. Also you should give it a soak in a warm bath at least every other day. I may have left out something but I am sure someone else will respond with additional information. If you get all these things straight then you will notice a big improvement in your dragon !

Try softening up the pellets. Warm water, or fruit juice does the trick...a little pine apple juice over the pellets and Vinny goes nuts for them.

She does look small. It is hard to say how big she will get. The only thing you can do is get her set-up and feeding correct and see how she does.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
